Veshike is a memory game built for Global Game Jam 2026. You live the Namahage legend: wear their masked costumes, go house to house, and find all the lazy people who’d rather stay home warming their feet while everyone else is working — then make them suffer for it.

What I did

Working as UX/UI designer and developer, the job was to take a folklore premise and turn it into a readable memory mechanic in a weekend: prototyping the core loop, building the userflow for the house-to-house search, a small design system so the masks and tells stayed consistent, and wireframing the screens around the mechanic.

The game earned a Special Appreciation recognition from Round Two judges at Global Game Jam 2026.

Built in 48 hours for a jam — treat this as a prototype, not a polished case study.
